In 2024, EDAG Hungary celebrated its 25th anniversary with a series of special events for employees in Győr and Budapest.

The celebrations kicked off with a selection of photos from the past 25 years, shared on our Facebook page, showcasing memories captured by colleagues and curated by the HR team. Each employee also received a specially designed anniversary T-shirt as a keepsake.

To involve employees’ children, we organized a drawing competition, inviting them to envision “vehicles of the future.” In recognition of their creativity, each young participant received a small EDAG-themed gift – who knows, maybe their ideas will inspire future innovations!

The main event for employees featured a speech from Mr. Thomas Stickel, Senior Vice President of EDAG, honoring the team’s dedication. Although the much-anticipated cooking competition had to be canceled due to bad weather, the rain didn’t dampen the rest of the activities. Employees enjoyed lively tournaments in football, foosball, and streetball, either playing or cheering on their teams.

Adventure tours provided further excitement, with fun tasks that tested teamwork and creativity. For those preferring individual challenges, there were darts and archery, with professional instructors guiding the archery sessions.

Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed freshly baked "lángos" (a Hungarian specialty) and traditional strudels, along with mulled wine and warm tea, bringing a touch of pre-Christmas spirit to the event tent.

The best teams in each competition were awarded medals and trophies, celebrating their achievements on stage to the classic tune “We Are the Champions.” The evening continued with a raffle, adding an extra layer of excitement, and concluded with the cutting of a giant birthday cake.
