Alternative powertrains, highly automated driving, networked mobility – the demands on vehicle electric/electronic (EE) systems are constantly increasing. For this reason, the EDAG Group is expanding its capacities in this field in Hungary. The EDAG Group is to locate its largest electrics/electronics departments in Eastern Europe at its sites in Győr and Budapest.

The point of this increase in capacity is to pool the company's resources and skills, so as to be able to carry out activities and projects from the German headquarters under a single roof. The aim is to cover a wide range of services and to manage entire EE projects from Hungary. In the future, the global delivery capacity is to serve local customers both in Hungary and at international locations such as Spain, the UK, Italy and Sweden.

"Investing in the expansion of the EE capacities in Hungary is an outstanding acknowledgement of our expertise and great team performance, and of the excellent professional cooperation that has existed for more than ten years with other EDAG Group locations," explains Tamás Kovács, Head of E/E in Hungary.

The EE team in Hungary already saw an increase of 50 % last year. By the end of this year, the EE department should have grown from 45 employees to 60 - with the ambitious target of having a team of more than 100 colleagues within a few years. For existing team members, this creates individual opportunities for advancement and the chance to realize personal professional ambitions. The same also applies, of course, to future employees, who will help to create ways of implementing innovative projects.
