Employee anniversary at EDAG Hungary

These days, with the world moving so fast, it is becoming increasingly rare for employees to stay with the same company for decades. Career goals, quick promotion opportunities and financial reasons often motivate people to change employers.

All the more reason for us to be very happy that we were able to celebrate 16 employees who have been with the company for 10, 15 or 20 years in November 2023. Managing Director of EDAG Hungary, László Várallyai, personally congratulated the employees on this occasion and thanked them for their successful work over the past years.

"A gift alone cannot express how much we appreciate our colleagues' work. It is important to me to thank them personally for their achievements," explains László Várallyai. "I am convinced that without them, this company would not exist today, and I hope that I will be able to shake hands with most of them again in five years' time."

One of the jubilarians was Gabriel Madarász, who has been part of the EDAG Hungary team for 20 years now and thus attended the event as a "senior". As to what has kept him at EDAG Hungary for 20 years, he replied: "It's difficult to pinpoint a single reason. I like the international working environment; the fact that I had and still have the opportunity to discuss projects with colleagues from Germany and even China. I have also been on business trips abroad quite often. For many years, I was involved in the development of various chassis and enjoyed the stable working environment. At some point, however, I wanted to try something new. So the chance to dedicate myself to developing electric cars, including battery packs, came just at the right time in 2020/2021."

Gabriel Madarász also appreciates the great cooperation with his colleagues. Staff numbers have grown considerably since 2003, and he doesn't know everyone personally anymore, but he uses opportunities such as anniversary celebrations, summer parties, Christmas dinners, team-building activities and even employee events that he organizes himself to get to know other colleagues.

Alongside Gabriel Madarász, four of the jubilarians have been part of the EDAG Hungary development team for 15 years and almost a dozen for 10 years. All employees who have been with the company for at least 10 years receive a high-quality gift basket, framed certificates and words of thanks, complemented by a cash bonus.
